AIR DUCT CLEANING IN NEW PORT RICHEY

Air Duct Cleaning for New Port Richey Homes

New Port Richey has a historic downtown and neighborhoods built over many decades, so an older home can sit a short walk from a much newer one. Some older homes had central air added long after they were built, and their ductwork may have been replaced or extended more than once.

Gulf Coast humidity, aging ductwork and systems with no record of past cleaning are common reasons homeowners here call us. Pets, renovations and visible dust around the vents can also be reasons to have the system cleaned.

  • Older homes with added or replaced ductwork
  • Aging flex duct in attics
  • Gulf Coast humidity and musty odors
  • Systems with no record of cleaning
  • Manufactured homes with underfloor ducts
  • Older homes with working fireplaces

WHAT IT DOES TO A SYSTEM

Common Air Duct and Dryer Vent Concerns in New Port Richey

Coastal humidity and a wide range of home ages shape most of what we see in New Port Richey. Musty odors, aging ductwork, dust around the vents and dryer vents that have gone years without cleaning are among the most common concerns.

Ductwork added after the home was built

Older homes fitted with central air later often have duct runs in tight or unusual spaces. Access affects how the system is cleaned, which is why we look at it before starting.

Aging flex duct

Flexible duct from decades ago can become brittle or damaged. Cleaning and duct repair are separate services, and we will let you know if the accessible ductwork looks like it needs more than cleaning.

Humidity and odors

Gulf Coast humidity can contribute to musty smells from the HVAC system. Cleaning removes accumulated debris, and we will point out any signs of a moisture issue we notice.

No cleaning history

Many homes change hands without any record of when the ducts were last cleaned. If you do not know, a look at the accessible ductwork is a good place to start.

Dryer vents on older homes

Older laundry setups sometimes have long or extended vent runs. Lint buildup and damaged vent sections are common, and our dryer vent services cover both cleaning and accessible repairs.

Manufactured homes

Manufactured and mobile homes often have ductwork under the floor rather than in an attic, which calls for a different cleaning approach. Our technicians determine the right method for the system.

Chimneys taking coastal weather

Caps, crowns and flashing near the Gulf take a beating, and a damaged cap lets in rain and animals. We look over the accessible parts while cleaning and explain what we find.

Dryer Vent Cleaning in New Port Richey

Lint that slips past the lint screen settles in the dryer vent and at the exterior termination. As it accumulates, the dryer has to push air through a smaller opening, which can mean longer drying times, higher temperatures and more wear on the machine.

In older New Port Richey homes, dryer vents have sometimes been rerouted or extended over the years, and terminations near the coast take a beating from the weather. Our dryer vent cleaning clears the exhaust path, and we check the accessible connection and termination for damage, disconnected sections and heavy buildup. When a repair is needed, dryer vent repair is available.

We recommend cleaning most dryer vents once a year, and no longer than every 24 months. Longer drying times or a laundry room that feels unusually warm are good reasons to schedule sooner.

Chimney Cleaning in New Port Richey

Some of New Port Richey's older homes still have working fireplaces, and a fireplace that has not been cleaned in years can hold a good deal of soot and creosote. Clean Air Duct Cleaning provides chimney cleaning in New Port Richey to remove that buildup from the accessible areas of the chimney system.

During the service, we look over the accessible fireplace and chimney and let you know if anything may need further cleaning, maintenance or repair. The right cleaning schedule depends on how often the fireplace is used, the type of fireplace and its condition.

Signs Your New Port Richey Home May Need Cleaning

  • A musty odor from the vents on humid days
  • Dust collecting around supply vents
  • No record of when the ducts were last cleaned
  • Brittle or damaged flex duct in the attic
  • Clothes taking longer to dry than they used to
  • A damaged or stuck dryer vent flap outside
  • Soot or a strong smoky odor near the fireplace
  • A fireplace that has not been cleaned in over a year

THE AREAS WE COVER

Every part of New Port Richey, and what we find there

New Port Richey includes a historic downtown, established residential neighborhoods and waterfront areas close to the Gulf. Here is what we tend to find in each.

Downtown and the older neighborhoods

Homes near downtown and the Pithlachascotee River include some of the oldest in the area. Ductwork added after construction, aging systems and fireplaces are more common here.

Gulf Harbors and the waterfront

Homes near the water deal with more humidity and salt air. Musty odors and weathered dryer vent terminations are concerns we see often.

Updated, they are working to make it right. If a company is willing to stand behind their work they are ok in my book. I paid 450$ to this company to clean my air ducts expecting them to actually clean them. I have had some asthma issues and looked in our air ducts again and look what I found. They later called me to explain why it was there I am notadvocating for the lack of information initially however if they make it right I’m good.

JJ and his partner did an amazing job cleaning out my dryer vent duct! JJ was incredibly professional, well-spoken, and had such a calm, friendly demeanor. They got the job done quickly without sacrificing quality, and I was extremely impressed with the results. It’s always refreshing to have someone come into your home who is respectful, knowledgeable, and efficient. I would absolutely recommend JJ with CAD to anyone needing their dryer vent cleaned and will definitely be using him again in the future. Thank you, JJ!

I cannot say enough good things about Clean Air Duct Cleaning and the two gentlemen who came out today. The entire experience was professional from beginning to end. Their appointment confirmations and text-message updates were clear, timely, and reassuring. The technicians arrived prepared, were courteous and respectful, explained everything clearly, and never tried to pressure us into unnecessary work. That professionalism meant even more after what happened with another company. The previous technician showed up late, reeking of cigarette smoke, in an unmarked van, immediately wanted access to the attic, and then tried to charge my 81-year-old Paw-Paw more than $600 for work we had never requested. We had only called about an advertised $59 vent-cleaning special. The whole experience felt like a bait-and-switch and an attempt to take advantage of my Paw-Paw who is a 100% Disabled Navy Veteran The two gentlemen from Clean Air Duct Cleaning that came today were the complete opposite. They were honest, knowledgeable, respectful of our home, and treated my Paw-Paw with patience and dignity. They took the time to evaluate the situation properly and gave us straightforward information without exaggerating problems or inventing expensive repairs. It is becoming increasingly difficult to know which companies can be trusted, but Clean Air Duct Cleaning proved that honest, professional service still exists. I highly recommend them and sincerely appreciate the way their entire team handled everything—from the appointment communication to the quality and professionalism of the technicians who came to our home. Thank you!

My husband and I just moved to the area and decided to give CAD a try. There service and professionalism were great. From the start of setting up the appointment to having our technicians, Zarek & JJ, come out it was an easy process. We had all ducts cleaned as well as our fireplace. The technicians were polite, great as showing us before and after pictures and did a great job cleaning up the place when they were finished. I will definitely be calling for future needs.

New Port Richey questions

01How much does duct cleaning cost for a New Port Richey home?

Our standard residential price is $35 per vent with a $350 minimum, and that includes one HVAC system connection. If your home has a second system or needs HVAC components such as the coil or blower cleaned, that work is priced separately. Free phone estimates are available for most standard residential services.

02The houses on my street were built in different decades. Does that matter?

It can. Homes built in different eras often have different duct materials, layouts and access. That is why our technicians check the accessible system before starting rather than assuming every home on the street is the same.

03Why do my vents smell musty on humid days?

Humidity can bring out odors from dust and debris in the ductwork, the air handler or the coil. Cleaning removes accumulated debris from the accessible system. If an odor points to a moisture or drainage problem, we will tell you what we see.

04Is old flex duct worth cleaning, or does it need replacing?

It depends on its condition. Flex duct in good shape can usually be cleaned. Duct that is torn, crushed or brittle may not hold up to cleaning, and we will let you know if that is what we find so you can decide how to proceed.

05Do you clean ductwork in manufactured homes?

Yes. Manufactured and mobile homes usually have ductwork under the floor rather than in the attic, so the cleaning approach is different. Our technicians determine the appropriate method once they have looked at the system.

06My dryer vent flap near the coast is rusted open. What should I do?

A flap that no longer closes can let in pests and weather, and a damaged termination can also trap lint. We can clean the vent and let you know whether the termination should be repaired or replaced. Any repair is priced separately and explained before the work is done.

07Can you clean my fireplace chimney in New Port Richey?

Yes. We provide chimney cleaning for New Port Richey homes, removing soot, creosote and debris from the accessible areas of the chimney system. If we find a condition that needs more attention, we explain it before recommending any additional work.

08Do you work with businesses in downtown New Port Richey?

Yes. We clean ductwork, HVAC systems and dryer vents for commercial properties in New Port Richey, including offices and retail spaces. Commercial pricing depends on the size of the property, the number of systems and the scope of work. Contact our team to discuss your building.

09How long does a dryer vent cleaning take?

Most straightforward residential vents are done in a single visit. Longer runs, roof terminations and vents that need repair take more time, and we explain anything extra before we do it.

10Do you sweep chimneys on older New Port Richey homes?

Yes. Older fireplaces often have years of buildup in the accessible areas. We clean what can be reached and explain anything that looks like it needs more than a sweep.
